CENTRE FOR THE RESEARCH AND TECHNOLOGY OF AGRO-ENVIRONMENTAL AND BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES (CITAB)
The scope of CITAB - Centre for the Research and Technology of Agro-Environmental and Biological Sciences is focused on the agro-food and forestry systems using the production-chain approach as a whole. It is composed of a multidisciplinary team with expertise ranging from fundamental sciences such as biology and chemistry to agronomists, forestry engineers and ecologists. The group benefits from the input of other scientific experts in the fields of mathematics, physics, technological engineering and engineers.
UNIVERSIDADE DE TRÁS-OS-MONTES E ALTO DOURO (UTAD)
The University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro, located in Vila Real, is a high-level institution, dedicated to the creation, transmission and diffusion of culture, knowledge and science. RESEARCH CENTER IN SUSTAINABLE AGRI-FOOD PRODUCTION (GREENUPORTO)
The mission of GreenUPorto – Research Centre on Sustainable Agri-food Production is to contribute to the scientific and technological development and to the knowledge transfer in the field of agronomy, food and environmental sciences, promoting an innovative and a sustained growth of this sector. In the context of a smart specialization, GreenUPorto is the first Portuguese Research Centre mainly focused on the horticulture value chain (with a special emphasis on fruits, vegetables, ornamentals and viticulture) both in open-air production systems and under protected cultivation. The preservation of the quality of soils and of agri-ecosystems is also a key priority.
FACULDADE DE CIÊNCIAS DA UNIVERSIDADE DO PORTO (FCUP/UP)
The Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (FCUP) is an organic unit of the U.Porto with its own staff and statutory, scientific, pedagogical, administrative and financial autonomy, under the terms of the law, the statutes of the U.Porto and FCUP.
FCUP is located in Pole 3 of UPorto – Pólo do Campo Alegre. It is one of the oldest and largest organic units of the U.Porto, with a highly diversified training offer in Exact, Natural and Computer Sciences, in all study cycles (Bachelor, Master and Doctorate), with synergies between the different existing scientific areas, which has a culture of a School of Excellence in Science, Research, Technology and Innovation, and with actions in the areas of Culture and Social Responsibility, in an open and inclusive environment. and which aims to promote innovative and sustainable societal impact at regional, national and international levels.
